Evaluation
Following Primary Care Referral..
Depending on your child’s area of need, your child will be provided with a comprehensive speech-language, feeding, speech sound production, fluency, pragmatic, and/or reading assessment.
Evaluation Results
If your child demonstrates need in any area assessed, an individualized plan of care will be created with your family to target areas of concern for your child, optimizing on their strengths. Plans of care include attainable goals for your child and intensity/duration of treatment.
Intervention
Skilled Intervention
Weekly speech therapy sessions will be pre-scheduled with your family and what works best for you. Sessions will be held in the child’s home and/or natural environment weekly (duration and minutes per week will be assessed during the evaluation process).
Parent Resource and Training
Parents are encouraged to observe and interact during sessions to promote generalization of skills and parent training. Parents, you are the experts in your child and spend more time with them than anyone. We want you to feel equipped to practice these skills with your child in your every day lives.
